My wife showed me pictures from the M3W at the Autosalon in Geneve 2011. At the same moment I had the "english desease" again (loving british cars) ....
Here my career with british motorcars:
My first car was a MG Magnet MkII in black with red leather seats and panorma window at the rear. I bought it from a scrapyard. The previous owner was an american soldier here in Frankfurt. I polished it up and it was running for about two years with no fault. Funny enough I sold it to another american soldier. We are talking about 40 years ago.
My second adventure was a TRIUMPH TR3A, BRG, black seats.
After a few years of abstinence I surged all over Britain for an ASTON MARTIN DB5 but could not get hold of a decent one, so I bought a DB& MKII (with 90.000 miles on the clock but only one previous owner and fully history) Dark blue with beige conolly hide. The two of us are still in love, my wife is a bit jealous about it, because I am 2 years longer together with the car than with her.
Apart from the DB6 I had another ASTON a convertible Volante V8 wich I devorced after a few years, because it reminded me too much of a Mustang.
That's it - so far - untill I saw the M3W !!! We placed our oder inmediately.
Before Christmas 2011 we, my wife and myself, went to Malvern to visit the factory and the Frankfurt/Birmingham Christmas Market. Strongbow - Strongbow !!
Belief it or not - the enrire jouney we were discussing about the colour, the trim, bright pack yes or no, etc. etc.
Finally we decided to take the bright pack and colour and leather in black.
On April 29th 2012 it has arrived in Frankfurt and was registered the same day !!!!!
Till now it has only 100 miles on the clock because it is raining and we have only between 6 and 8 degrees Celcius.
Listening to the birds twiddling - spring will arrive soon for lots of rides and in the meantime I have the time for some alterations.
Tschues

Welcome! It is comforting to know that I am not the only person to fall in love with the M3W at first sight smile
