I found this article from the New York Times whilst trawling the net for Mog related articles. Richard Sammons, a New York architect, is obviously one of us. He talks lovingly of his Plus 8. The accompanying auto slide show, with a Plus 8 soundtrack, is well worth playing.

Nice article and slideshow. He talks a lot of sense although I can't say I have tested the illegal car parking option.

Ettore Bugatti was born in Italy but was hired by the Baron de Dietrich to come and work for him at his factory in Alsace. He then made his career there, & when he set up on his own it was in Molsheim in the same region. To suggest that the Bugatti is an Italian car however would be like saying that the Mini is a greek car because it was designed by Alec Issigonis , or that the Aston Martin DB4 thru to the old V8 are Polish because Tadek Marek designed the engines.

Oh, but please don't let my fit of pedantry obscure the fact that I enjoyed the NY times article & slideshow or make you doubt my appreciation of the sincerity of the Mogging credentials of the architect in question. I loved his line about when you live in a city where owning a car is a massive hassle you really ought to drive something interesting to make it worthwhile. Kudos.
