Hi guys!
Went out last weekend and the handbrake ceased to work, could be something to do with me driving 3 miles or so with it on! Never felt a loss in power either!
So strip down this weekend, I assume there are handbrake drums on the back ???, anyone out there know what other vehicle the linings are from or a part reference, also references for the front and rear pads would be useful, thanks in anticipation!

Hi Taffmog,
I have just sorted my hand brake out as it failed to hold the car even on the slightest of inclines and I wasn't sure whether there was self adjustment.
You're right in the assumption that it's a drum brake inside disc and all you have to do is:
1)Straighten long split pins and tap out from brake caliper.
2)Remove spring plate & pads.
3)Remove two allen screws that hold caliper -remove caliper.
4)Remove three countersunk screws from face of disc.
5)With hand brake off - remove disc.
On my car the brake shoes looked to have pick up on them, as did the drum and there was lot of rust and brake dust which impares brake efficiency. I set about cleaning both the drum face and shoe face with emery cloth and jacked the linings out to a point where I could just feel them binding - I then backed them off a few clicks & job done....
Can't help on cross referencing the part numbers, but you may find you don't need new linings as they don't really wear, unless of course one happens to leave the hand brake on...doh!!
Good Luck
Robo.
p.s. I've just taken both back wings off for various reasons, so if anyone wants advise on this work, I'll be happy to help.

Thanks Robo, I intend to have a look tomorrow, judging by the smell I don't expect to see much lining! I will report further after stripdown.
