Does this also apply to a "Basher Bonnet"? drive

Speaking of bonnets - is there supposed to be a cap/ cover at the front end of the bonnet hinges where they meet the grill cowling?

It should be a brass end cap to the hinge

Mark,

We don't have a protocol, thankfully laugh

We're much too relaxed around here to worry about things like that.

The only the moderators try to do is keep the posts in the correct forum, so that it is easy for others to search and find the information they require.

Cheers

The way Nick showed me to undo the bonnet catch was to put your fingers under the edge of the bonnet and then squeeze down with the palm of your hand, then to lift the lower edge out before releasing the pressure. In other words not to just push down on the knob. And yes "rear first to undo, last to fasten"

Mark,
Great write-up.
I'm glad the car impressed right from the word go. Didn't realise you had come so far south to collect. You could ahve stopped into work for a cuppa on the way north!

Enjoy! cheers

Mark,
I have just realised that you got your car at Williams in Bristol -- just a small bit of advice --- Bristol - Fishguard ferry to Rosslare and up the N11, M50 and M1 would be a helluva lot easier, and I think, definitely quicker than up the UK. Added benefit is that I live just 20 miles from Rosslare so there is a handy pitstop or overnight if going the other way for a service in Williams(Hint!)

Cheers!

Jays - I think I may be missing an end cap then. Will try and post a photo.
