I bought this car as a first foray in to Morgan ownership in 2007 and have enjoyed it so much I now want to upgrade to a newer model so VERY reluctantly I am putting it up for sale.
I bought the car in 2007 with just over 20000 miles on it of which 15000 had been done in the first 5 years with maintenance being done by Allon White who originally sold the car new. After that service is mainly anecdotal until I bought it, I was told it was serviced every year which I do believe but only the basics were done as the brake fluid was badly contaminated with water, thus the first job I had to carry out was to get the discs ground, fit new calliper piston seals and disc pads, new master cylinder seals, new rear slave cylinders and shoes. Also replacement king pins, bushes and dampers and spacers, also converted to grease lubricated (front suspension overhauled again at 39000m). It had also been resprayed before I bought it and the paint has been freshened again since. Cooling water hoses and petrol filler hose have been renewed. New heater matrix fitted.
It has now done 48300 miles and all maintenance has been done by myself (I'm a marine engineer and car enthusiast) a full report of all work done during my ownership will be provided.
Since buying the car I have fitted SS luggage rack, sports stainless steel exhaust and four branch manifold, K & N filter and Ford Motorsport rocker cover (originals all available to go with the car if required). The carburettor has been overhauled, new distributor cap, rotor arm and leads and a new fuel pump. Water pump, timing belt and tensioner all changed 4000 miles ago. New starter motor. The tyres have done 12k. There is a 12v socket fitted suitable for sat nav.
It has 3 wipers, wood dash, everflex hood with de-tensioners and tonneau, drivers door wing mirror, radio (very old, works but I never use it) and aerial. It has steel wire wheels painted silver with some paint chips.
There is some slight starring of the paint around a couple of the bonnet louvers but it is a very pretty car, drives really well, no shake etc and runs very well and will return 36 to 38 mpg on a run too. It has an aluminium body with steel wings, doors etc and at the moment there is a personal plate on it, this is NOT for sale and the original number of the car is C729 KNV.
It has just been fully serviced and is MOT'd until 18th Feb 2013 and taxed to end of January 2013

Thanks for that, it's been really difficult to make the decision to sell, both my wife and I have really enjoyed the car and I just hope the next one's as good. It's going to be fun looking anyway!

It is quite easy to get attached to a Morgan and I can understand your trepidation; however, as you state, the search for a new car is an exciting part of the new car process. As before, good luck with the sale. Had I the room, and the spare funds, I must say I'd be tempted to add your car to the garage - it seems very good value.

Interestingly, in France, secondhand Morgan prices are very high and as Pandy said recently, new cars even higher.
