The trim piece is held by the self tappers whioch are visible on the outside. It's then a matter of judging where to add to the curve and by how much. Do it over a curved edge.
Be careful with those self tappers. There isn't much thread in the frame and it's easy to strip them out. Use some locktite on re-assembly.

Hi all
I use two methods,
1) Velcro (Mushroom headed from M3) on top of window and corresponding line on the soft top, roof no longer inverts in high winds, and has stayed in place at over 100mph.
2)15mm web Strap fixed to the top of the door then a 15mm plastic luggage push buckle fixed at the sun visor point.

I will take the strap of and take some pics and list the ingredients later

I did this with my old Roadster & it worked quite well. I did have to take the brackets off the sidescreens to do it, if I remember rightly.

At the weekend I took my sidescreen sides off, and increased the bend in the front strut, only by a few degrees - sufficient to hold the top of the sidescreen hard against the top of the windscreen side support. Previously they had not been sufficiently angled in, so would flap and chatter at speed - now they are rock solid at 70-80 and this has solved the one remaining unwanted noise that I had.

With the correct inward angle, and force applied by fully tightening the turnbuckles, I doubt anything else such as velcro, magnets, or a clip would be needed.

In the dismantling process I discovered that two of the (large) screws holding the struts to the frame were loose - so took the opportunity to tighten them up. And when replacing the small screws which hold the vinyl sides to the struts, I used loctite as per Dave W's suggestion. However in my case they were small machine screws (about M4), not self-tappers. It was a quick job and fairly obvious so I didn't take any pictures.

Very happy with the result.

I also bent the front brackets shortly after getting the car as the sidescreens flapped about. Only bent a small amount and I've had no trouble ever since. I do have to tighten the screws quite often - I shall now use loctite - why didn't I think of that. You see how we need you Dave....
