Okay chaps, there have been more than a few references to 'cars you must own once in your life' or 'you have to tick that box once' on Talk Morgan; therefore, I thought it would be interesting to see what cars people thought a true car enthusiast should own before they shuffled this mortal coil. Lets keep it realistic otherwise I can see this getting into the realms of Ferrari SWB California, Muira, etc, very quickly. I'll start but feel free to disagree, add your own or commend me on my excellent choices ps - a Morgan is a given, so we'll leave those off the list. Mine are: - 1) A Volkswagen Beetle (not the modern one) 2) An original Mini, preferably a Cooper (again, not the modern version) 3) A 911 (manual 2WD, non cabrio, doesn't matter which year but the ideal would be an aircooled model) 4) Westfield or Caterham (bugs in your teeth model - no screens and goggles a must) 5) A V8 Mustang (must be a manual and preferably a pre-1974) I'm sure I'll think of more but I'll leave it there for now!

Got the original mini (but not a cooper, but 998cc with twin carbs and stage 2 tuning kit and racing seats and harnesses, had a modern Beetle and a MG Midget 1500cc), but on the would like to drive/own list are:
1) Morgan, any model! As I don't yet own one and have not yet driven one! 2) Renault Sport Spider 3) Porsche 356 4) 1969 Jag e-type coupe (the year I was born)

I have tried a realistic set
Porsche - 968CS or 928S4 or above Bentley - Something from Crewe not a fake. 6.7l V8 only Morgan (preferably an Aero, sorry) Lotus - Exige or Elise Skyline GTR33/34 or Evo IX Bowler Land Rover of some demented format GT350 Shelby Mustang or 65 Corvette Split Screen
But also got a dream set on the side
MBenz SLR (noise) Pagani Zonda R Monteverdi 375 or one of its beautiful family Veyron
You just have to drive them, not own them right ?

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

50's 300SL
60's Alfa Guilitta Step bonnet thingy

For me it would be;
Mini- best car to learn to drive in Jeep- there are places to drive other than the road 911- has to be there E Type- my dream car growing up Rolls- with a chauffeur of course!
Done the first three, number 4 is getting more difficult as the years go by, but there is always hope for number 5 !

Bentley, anything from Cricklewood - not a fake! And definitely NOT corrupted or perverted by a supercharger.
