Got caught out yesterday, cleaning the Max with the doors left open for a long time, Battery went flat. (INTERIOR LIGHT ON) ooo

Can anyone recommend a good trickle charger before i go out and put my name on one that doesn't really do the job or would be over the top for the job. i dont usually have an issue with the Battery, so just need something that will keep the Battery steady over the week if the Max is stuck inside.

I use the previous version of this (which was called the Ctek 3600): -

http://www.ctekchargers.co.uk/ctek-mxs-3.6.php

Bought on eBay, via a small shop, quick delivery and it has never let me down and won't overcharge the battery on the Aero.

Here is one on eBay from a seller with 100% on circa 5,000 transactions: -

Ctek MXS 3.6 (replaced the old Ctek 3600)

Do most Morgan owners keep their cars on trickle? All of my 'fun' cars have been on trickle whilst in the garage and I would imagine I'd like to keep my yet acquired Morgan on one too.

From previous posts, it seems that the battery is a little awkward to access (I realise many do it through the cig lighter).

I added the extension lead, despite mine being easy to access. As mine has a battery isolator on the bulkhead (firewall) above the tool box I used to connect there, until I needed to get to the battery one day, so added the charger lead.

Another vote for the CTEK XS-3600 (or it's replacement) and CTEK chargers in general.

Cheers,

I also keep mine on trickle charge (when not in use!) using the CTEK 3600 which has been totally reliable and not let me down,

Regards,

John

I've been using a CTek since January, bought from Amazon. It's certainly a more robust unit than the Ring I had previously, which broke after a year.

I use the same, it's really a battery conditioner because it charges and discharges, battery lasts longer on a little used car that way - mine's generally on the Austin cuz the Morgan's usually in use. Excellent piece of kit.

I'm another CTEK fan, had some other brand originally (don't remember which)and it failed after a year, CTEK has been going for four years now and not let me down yet.
