eh, I found it quite useful I looked in Peter Miller's book" Morgan The Three Wheeler-The Complete Story but couldn't find any BHP figures for the LTOW engine Funnily enough, my favourite application of the J.A.P engine isn't in the Morgan but in the Brough Superior SS: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1938-brough-superior-ss-100.htm G

Now looked in my book, Ken Hill's "Completely Morgan, Three Wheelers from 1910 to 1952".
LTOW is also shown there as 40 bhp, but LTOWC as 42 bhp. The final C stands for sport specification I'm told, but I think the engine is really just a higher compression version with the (de)compression plates removed. It's logical that an extra 2 bhp at the same revs is compression or breathing and not a cam change.

I got my copy cheap! A while ago mind you when it was still in print.
The MTWC fell out with Ken over that book as he quotes a huge chunk of a small book they publish and neither asked permission or acknowledged the source.
I'm not too sure about the accuracy of some bits, but the parts Ken reproduced from various manuals are very useful indeed.

That seems to be a bit endemic where mOg books are concerned. Has anybody done a side by side comparison of John Worrall's book with the Morgan 100 year History.? G

That's my dad in about 1946 when I was still the proverbial twinkle. I wonder where it is now. He bought it in crashed condition and fixed it up only to sell it to move to Australia after I came along. To quote my mother "It did 100 mph with the 2 of us on it over the old Saxon-Roman road across the top of the Sussex Downs" This may just explain something about my driving style
