Yes, their Bugatti replicas are disgustingly good. What I wouldnt give to have the ability to make such exacting replicas of cars from the past.

The Buck;land has been around for a long while now ( albeit in various guises) it has loads of attractions but it is NOT a serious 'burner'

Might one in all sincerity suggest that if a Buckland attracts you you might also look at a Pembleton

I know we'e already 'crosssed swords' as it were on this site but I have to say re the ' three wheeler lookalike market' surely it depends on what you want. How do you factor in things like tradition, power, performance etc?

If these things are important- and they are to me, then why b*gger about dicussing all these pseudo Morgans. ( next thing you know we''ll be haviong a Pembleton fest) The original three wheeeler was the product of its time , not least the cycle car tax structure which effectively died the death with the 'baby' Austin Seven If anyone has any doubts about this, read Mc Minnies articles in the National Archive. Those guys went fo three- wheelers on utterly practical grounds ( as a chat with a real expert such as Mike Duncan or Bob Derricot will confirm I have absolutely no problem with classic and vintage machines- I've had a love affair with the with the K3 Magnette as long asd I can remember but there are limits

Interested as to why you should say that? I remember Dick and a mate of his campaigning their B3s in hill climbs in the mid '90s, he seemed to do all right.

On a first impression the Buckland looks pretty awful. I'm sure there are many who love it, but it does not really look like any sort of 'alternative' to a M3W.

However, I do like the luggage compartments under those massive front mudguards.

Perhaps it floats?

It could be interesting to compare the price for a turn-key Buckland B3 with a M3W, but I did not find any figures.

I had a good look at the Buckland at last weeks Kit Car Show. It's an interesting vehicle although I hate the front mudguards. It also needs a chrome or nickel plated radiator cowl to set it off. Not sure how the weight compares with the M3W as the chassis is pretty hefty and the lifting body, which I don't like, must add to the weight.

Each to their own, I can see the enjoyment in owning something like this, particularly if you build it yourself, but it's not got the Morgan history or cache. Nor the S&S which really makes the car special in my eyes.
