Henry, Typically they are at normal prices - there is no premium for immediacy as you have to take what they have ordered rather than specify the car yourself. Swings and roundabouts!!

The time of year can also have a bearing.
The dealer is more likely to agree to a deal as winter approaches rather in the spring when everyone is thinking of those roof down trips etc.

Stratton is a Lotus and Aston dealer ..so Morgan is a bit of a side line ..they tend to order for stock as they obviously do not have the level of custom solus dedicated Morgan dealers have, they are contracted to take a number of cars a year{30!!??} so have to place orders in advance. These orders can be modified to your spec within a few weeks of build. They have ordered Plus 4 Sports which are not the most popular spec, hence they have them on stock ..and most importantly probably paid for,so a deal is to be had if that is the spec you want. My car came from them with a very large saving and was the exact spec and colour I wanted ,so I was very lucky.. But the experience was very disappointing...!!!!Felt like buying a second hand Focus not special by any means.. made up for since by the enthusiasm and help of dedicated Morgan dealers . Would only ever buy from a dedicated Morgan dealer in the future. Forget the multi franchise people...unless the price is too good to miss. Good luck..

Sounds like you are suggesting that Stratton is below par, but all I can say is that my 4/4 runs better than ever since my service there a few weeks ago, so they must be doing something right. I understand that the way their Morgans are displayed that they lack the earthy Morgan feel that Melvyn Rutter and Life's have by the bucket load, but I wouldn't pass by Strattons now without at least a positive view on them...regarding servicing, at least. Just my humble opinion..
