In terms of Gumball and M3W - personally I think it's a good move. It's cheap publicity accross the US, and the demographic for the car is not far off - a strong percentage of enquiries and purchases for the 3W are from the under 30 age group I am reliably informed.
This Supadry branding and Gumball participation may seem unpalletable to us slightly over 30's, but given what I've been told it seems to be based on hard facts and make some marketing sense.
Today's 3 wheeler purchasers will be tomorrows 4 wheeler purchasers so maybe not a crazy move after all.
As for all the stickers on the Gumball cars - this is the price of entry - you are compelled by the entry requirements to place the event sponsor stickers on your car - such is commercial reality..
Finally I'd add - this forum thrives on being a community, and a community that agrees all the time is a community heading nowwhere. I dont' always agree with G, but glad we have all spectrums here - keeps this place interesting and me coming back...

I saw the Factory blurb as well and if it is an accurate reflection of the input which MMC are having into the Oak racing programme, then what they say is fair and reasonable. The slight problem I do have is that if one looks at any other source of comment - including Oak themselves- MMC's contribution seems much much less than stated in the Factory's comments. If this IS the case ( and if it's not then I'm happy to be corrected) then what we are looking here is surely more in the realms of how Rob described it " an Oak Racing car with Morgan stickers" than any real collaborative venture which MMC can use as a testing and proving ground for their technoloigical material
G Thank you. You are owed an apology. I thought you were being cynical until I checked it out. Dan

Dan Dan, Not a problem As Mr Tony says, the beauty of TM is that we have a membership of people who all have a massive interest in the cars and the fact that we can agree to disagree is a real plus- as is the fact that many posters ( and I DON'T include me) have real technological insights to offer. This is in sharp contrast to other Morgan sites where to disagree with the 'ruling classes' renders one as the equivalent of a leper! regards G

G, As you may know, over here a "lepper" is someone who jumps over administrative hurdles -- with the state of your Knee I'd have thought that you could hardly be termed a "lepper" at present!!!

Hi Robbie, Yes, I have heard that Irish term Funnily enough, the dreaded knee isn't THAT bad and I managed a 5 mile walk today with no probs. Cycling and swimming are also fine it's just that i want to be a bit more active than that - hence the upcoming repair regards G

Congratulations to @charlesmorganuk who won the Spirit of Gumball award! http://pic.twitter.com/34kq02TJ Wikipedia: "The accolade of 'Spirit of the Gumball' Trophy is awarded to the driver(s) each year that embody the fun freedom of spirit and adventure that the event strives for. The Spirit of the Gumball award is often awarded to the drivers of the vehicle that has perhaps been regarded as an 'underdog' - or to the participants that have completed the 3000 miles against all odds, such as fixing their broken vehicle, or getting lost en route."

From her last couple of Tweets I think that Keira is glad that it is over; but fair play to them both, what an epic drive. Looking forward to seeing the final day photos. Bud __________ 2003 - 4/4
