Very annoying!! But hopefully it left such a deep impression in the young little rascals...so that they will be the one renovating a M3W, "the dream car of their childhood", in year 2070 something No excuse, but I am trying to see something positive in the next generation [/quote] Bravo!

I have made another small mod. over the w/e which may be of interest. When lifting the back and removing the plastic wheel cover, I have always been surprised that there is no form of mudguard covering the entire rear wheel, to stop muck being sprayed all over the inside of the rear section, so I have made an aluminium wheel cover, about 9" wide, and bent into a gentle curve. I have fixed the front end to the small appology for a mudguard, with a couple of small nuts and bolts, and at the rear, I have screwed a bit of twisted flat bar from side to side, and then drilled the bar and ali. guard and used another couple of nuts and bolts to secure it. It now looks neat, will fit under the plastic cover and, hopefully keep the spray within the wheel circumference, though I won't know until I take it out in the rain of course. Yes, Yes I know, pictures will follow.

Pictures are now up in the gallery, I would be interested in peoples thoughts on my use of the 11" Motolita wheel. Out of interest, it doesn't seem to make the steering heavier, which was my initial worry.

That wheel looks like it fits the style of the 3 wheeler spot on. Also, I like the shelf! All of this modding gets me excited as I will probably be getting mine right in time for snow. so I will have a couple months of hands on time in the garage before I really get to enjoy it. Good job man, jeep them coming.

Here we go with a few mods. The issue of under bonnet (hood) storage has been discussed and found this solution on ebay for 99pence plus delivery. Colours wrong for my car but in keeping with the WW2 themes of some 3 wheelers. Yeap used UN ammo box. I think I need to paint it red and fix some warning stickers to it. Holds all the supplied tools plus extra bits including a couple of extra cans of tyre seal for the trip to Lemans. I've also had a local plastics company make up some tube ends for the where the number plate was held to tidy up the front. Lastly I'd taken a different view of interior storage to PaulJ. I did look at a shelf but felt it would be tight on the knees so ended up getting some 2mm ali bent, and with the aid of a few rivets now have storage space for a John Taylor cockpit cover, spare goggles, and odds and sods in the foot well in the passenger side, and space for a document holder (man bag) for the drivers side. Still need some TLC to finish, but valuable additional storage to the trip to LMC

I did look at that space, and may still add a couple of little pockets like yours, they look really useful and neat.
Has anybody investigated what is behind the dash on the passenger side, behind the leather trim. It feels as if there is enough room behind for a cubby hole, probably quite deep, and maybe use the leather to finish the lid, so that it looks pretty standard?

There is nothing behind the leather trim, it's only decoration.

There is nothing behind the leather trim, it's only decoration. I'd removed mine and behind were two nuts which seem to be holding something in place. I'm not sure you'd be able to open this up to make a usable space.
