Good evening to all of you
another newbie question: I've never heard about "matching numbers" for Morgans. Why? MCC does not issue corresponding certificates?

Lilo,

Matching numbers, with respect to a 'classic car', generally denotes that the car has the original engine and transmission.

Hence "matching numbers": as in the engine number and transmission numbers match those quoted on the documents at build time.

Hi Simon,
yes, this is what I mean. I'm just wondering why its does not looks to be here an important concern, compared to what we see for other makes. Think about classic Jaguar

Matching numbers is suggested to add value due to the orginality of the car.

It is a personal thing but generally this is how the market values classic vehicles. Whether you are willing to pay more is down to you. smile
