Like John, I don't really see why the 3W needs to loose another 100kg it is not a track car, though I've had mine on the track, and the early Lotus 7's weighed in at around 500 kgs. Far from adding lightness, all 7-alikes have gained weight since then, including your own CR260 Paul, which has a claimed weight of 575 kgs. It would be interesting to check that on a weighbridge, as I intend doing with my 3W as MMC figures are always pretty unreliable!

The only 7-alike that weighed in considerably under the Lotus 7's is the FW400, but I also doubt whether that weighs the claimed 400kg, but again we need to weigh ours to find out the correct weight complete with fluids ready for the road. I'll revert with the relevant weights, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Thanks for your good and candid update. You make some excellent and reassuring points.

Very glad to hear that your car is wearing well and remaining enjoyable! thumbs

At 2:35 they say 150 have left the assembly line, but this video was shot in the first half of April - so roughly 15 weeks ago - and if they have kept on par with the reported best week of 11 built (per old mogwire article), you could estimate somewhere between 300 and 325 at this point, but a portion of those are going to be demo cars for dealers I would assume.

It's the same on the 4 wheelers. First thing to scrape are all the overlong bolts hanging out the bottom eek
