That is what I thought. Thank you Peter. A lot of speed bumps in my locale so the black wires are going to be the safest option for me.

Stainless or black is a matter of choice. You need to specify either 6.5 in black wires or 7 in stainless wires with 205/65 R15 tyres. Best to specify specifically the tyres you want so as to be sure of getting what you want. Have a look at Jochen's new Roadster which is fitted with 205/65 R15 tyres and a 165/80-15 spare http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/galleries/95840/3 It really looks good.

 Would have needed the answer as is started the thread....i ordered the SSW 6x15 beacuse i thought it makes no difference... i always wanted the widest wings

If they have not yet installed the guards you may be in time to change your order. The factory is on summer holidays at the moment.

I have the opposite dilema. I am not so keen on the wider wings but aesthetically I prefer the fatter tyres and I need them as I am concerned about the ride height of the lower profile tyres - all of which pushes me towards the fatter Sport black wires and the consequent widening of the wings  Are the wider wings really that noticeable anyway? I don't think it makes a huge difference. If anything I think it's the absence of tread rubbers on the wings that makes some Plus 4's and Roadsters look wider from the side. Tread rubbers break up that wide expansive side wing and that's why I prefer them aesthetically. Of course they make no difference to the view from the front.

The width is very noticeable when you see them side by side. I love the look of the narrow cars from the front.
