Talk Morgan Forums Thread Like Summary - Passport Office service.

Well having taken ten years break from overseas travel after an absolute sufeit for work over a protracted period, we have decided to renew our Passports and are planning some new adventures to as yet unseen countries.

Having completed the necessary online forms we posted off the requested documents on the 20th May, lo and behold new Passports delivered on the 29th May. A Bank Holiday weekend included as well !
That is what I call GOOD Service and great to see the Civil Service in good order, credit where it's due folks.

The UK Passport system is way ahead of the US, I renewed my British Passport photo and documentation all online and received the new passport within 10 days. As for the system over here better I not say anything but I think it is emerging from the 19th Century.

I had a few forms on DVLA recently and they have averaged around 5-7 days.
Licence transfers and car ownership changes.

Nice to see passport stepping up as it used to be a disaster.

But at least they are now blue. Isn't that the most important thing?
