Talk Morgan Forums Thread Like Summary - Are EV`s THE future...?

This post does not relate to any one manufacturer or vehicle, however perhaps provides an insight to EV perhaps playing a more important part of the future than concentrating on current market trends re EV Vs ICE..?

The vid is circa 52 mins long and seems to present an in depth (no pun intended) look at just how much time energy (pun?) and money some Europeans are putting into working towards a better future for the common good of the populace....Or have I got that wrong..?

50,000 trouble free miles so far. Probably the easiest car I've owned in that it's always fully fuelled every morning, it is as quick as a supercar (despite being a four door 'family' car) and, of course, ridiculously cheap to run - costing about £6 to fill up. It's already paid for itself as a swap for my Range Rover - saving around £7k a year on fuel and servicing - along with a tax benefit. The last set of tyres lasted 35,000 miles and the brake pads should last the lifetime of the car as they are rarely used.

There are, of course, the hilarious and misinformed detractors who have never owned one but have to comment - brake dust, tarmac shredding, tyre dust, fireballs, batteries dying etc. So that's an amusing side to owning one.

If you're driving under 300 miles a day, not wanting to feel like you're driving in the Mille Miglia when you visit Sainsbury's and can charge at home, an EV would be hard to ignore if you're buying a new car.

Still enjoying the Morgan too.

I am left handed so should be good to go. Also suspect mine made a break for it years ago.

If they tried to write the current US leadership event into a sitcom script no one would run it because it would make Fawlty Towers look like a factual drama.

I know and love to work with many US people. I have visited some great places on my many visits there. I am beginning to wonder if they have confused their presidency with a sit-com and now get the popcorn in when it is on? One gentleman with good values but perhaps only partly at the wheel. One with no apparent moral values and a lot to loose. How does it make sense to present this as the option to lead such a powerful country or do we all have to shout "it's a puppet" everytime they come on the screen.

You could not make it up. Oh, they did, whoops.

Covered 200.000 km in two EV's, Tesla Model S for 5 years and BMW iX3 for 3 years and some months, charger at home and solar panels, perfect as daily driver. No regrets. Explotation costs low. Comfort great, range in the summer 400++ km. Especially the BMW proves to be an excellent car, service from Tesla was poor, BMW excellent. We have had several Diesel BMW's before, and some Mini's, now a petrol Cooper 5d for SWMBO! Driving the Cooper is fun too!

It took me 1,5hours. to leave a field near Spa-Francorchamps after visiting Formula 1! It was extremely busy and hot! We had a cool a/c interior thanks to my big battery! No engine running. I think we had the most comfortable trip home you can expect. Premium sound system, streaming music, double glazing to keep out noise.






This weekend we take the PlusFour for a long weekend in Zeeland, The Netherlands, with a MSCCH trip on Saturday. So that is driving just for fun! So match the car with the moment. I don't understand why there are so much negative vibes regarding EV's.
