I dreamt, last night, that I owned a M3W in Gulf colours! I’ve always loved the S&S M3Ws, since I drove one of Berrybrook’s demonstrators, a few years ago. Had I enough garage space, I would have bought one. However, I don’t and my 4/4 is a keeper. Maybe I need help? Bud 4/4 - Stanley

Budster, when a dream turns into a nightmare, maybe? Cracked chassis, burnt out rectifiers, bevel box issues, belt drive issues, cush drive, now it’s an obsolete engine… need I go on (or maybe write a book about it) ;some things are better kept as dreams? Or better when a dream becomes reality Over the last 11 years I've done over 70,000 miles in my two M3Ws (a 2013 and now a 2021). In this time I've driven to 22 countries as far afield as Turkey and Montenegro, met loads of great M3W friends, enjoyed great camaraderie and stared in literally 100s of thousand photos and videos from passers by and other road users. Wherever I go the M3W upstages virtually all other cars including Ferraris, Lambos, Bugatti's and even 4 wheel Morgans I'm certainly not alone in using the car as much and sure there have been issues along the way, as with virtually all M3Ws, but in a way this shared experience has brought the community closer together. My life would be very much the poorer without the M3W!

I dreamt, last night, that I owned a M3W in Gulf colours! To me it sounds like the perfect ownership experience: No cost to purchase No insurance No road tax No petrol No traffic on the roads (unless you were having a nightmare) No police handing out speeding tickets (unless the nightmare took an even darker turn!) Ergo, all the upsides and none of the down! Bud, almost time to decide on your next test drive for this evenings dream... may I suggest a Miura SV across the alps?

Budster, I'm with you, my 4/4 was a dream for 43 years and is now certainly a keeper. For me the 4/4 is the ultimate Morgan, it meets all expectations. Looks, speed, power, smiles and personality.

I must admit I'm enjoying my Plus 4 as much as my first 4/4, whilst Morgan has produced more powerful machines, the 4/4 and Plus 4 seem to have the right balance ( for me ) for a quintessential sport cars in the old fashion sense of the word. It always brings a smile to my face, it operates very well within its limited performance envelope and my current driving skills.
My neighbours always appreciate and comment when ever I go out it in, where our other car doesn't get a mention. maybe because its so idiosyncratic and reflective of simpler times past. You are certainly treated with more curtesy (or maybe sympathy) by other road users at junctions etc.
It's a pleasure to be in, if you use it within its capabilities and always have a recovery service backup with your insurance

I'll happily join in with the 4/4 (and Plus 4) Love Fest. To me, a sportscar needs to be something you can drive near its limit without worrying about imminent death if you get it fractionally wrong. I like to be able to boot mine out of corners, happy to know that if it does break traction it will do so gracefully and can be caught and recovered easily.
Stuff like Plus Sixes would scare the pants off me, my driving skills simply aren't up to it. I'd be driving the thing around like I was on eggshells.
