My long dead dad didn’t give me much advice but 2 things I have always remembered !
Firstly, selling people something is about going back regularly even if the answer has always been No. One day you will turn up at the right time, they may have been let down and you will make that sale . And Don’t forget to ask for an order each time at the end of a visit or phone call.. Also over the years of being presented to, people just don’t ask for an order !! They just pitch …..and think the jobs done.
And the second and this was his view all his life, China will rule the world. All he based this on was their population and working, toiling.ejtc
There was no TV, no internet, no social media, the odd radio broadcast back and newspapers in his day and yet he was certain that China and ‘Communist countries’ would take over the world in time.
I think your view Rich and having read the BBC article, I tend to agree with you. Modi operates both with the West and The East/Asia.
The West, the EU, NATO , call it whatever you want, really do not look like a cohesive group. They need to if our kids future is to be secure. America currently is a wobbly ally.

PS Europe surely should be supporting Ukraine to the level that makes a stalemate certain and a peacwith Ukraine making some territorial progress . Don’t get me started on Gaza as I hate making political comment . Like to stay with fun, Morgans and other motorised vehicles . Plus of course steam trains !
