Talk Morgan Forums Thread Like Summary - Trailer on a trad?

So I have heard that it is not possible to fit a trailer to a trad, but then saw this 2011 +4 advertised for sale here in Sweden https://www.blocket.se/annons/1402506867, with the following picture included in the advert. I was a bit impressed!

The older cars had much more clearance ... a sheep could walk under my '76 and not get its fleece oily! 🙂

This tow bar is street legal here.

My MG Tc from my turning 20 yo. I cut up an old bedstead for the angle iron and fabricated a tow bar that bolted onto the chasis. Here shown with a sailing dinghy attached. Used to attend dingy races all over the place.

This popped up on my FB .... the film might be worth a look ... but as for the trailer question these guys seem to be using one ... and for more than just a nip down to the tip! 🙂

You are right, the ground clearance was increased about 3 to 4 cm and a protective armour has been fitted under the engine, gearbox and rear axle. All the modifications where made at the Factory at Malvern

The owner of this "attelage" as we say in french is my friend Xavier Delaunay, he was on his way to Le Mans as he was racing on "Plateau 1" on a Morgan 4/4 1938 (car N°59) with the owners of the car, Bouleau father & son who are Morgan agent (Welcome Automobiles) near Tours.

The tow bar is legal in Norway, but using it for towing is not unless the towing weight is specified in the registration documents. Hence, modern trads are not allowed to tow anything.
