Seems towing is more common than we think! šŸ™‚

The owner of this "attelage" as we say in french is my friend Xavier Delaunay, he was on his way to Le Mans as he was racing on "Plateau 1" on a Morgan 4/4 1938 (car N°59) with the owners of the car, Bouleau father & son who are Morgan agent (Welcome Automobiles) near Tours.

You are right, the ground clearance was increased about 3 to 4 cm and a protective armour has been fitted under the engine, gearbox and rear axle. All the modifications where made at the Factory at Malvern

The ride height was lowered when they replaced the rear lever arm system sometime in the 90's.

If you want to increase your front ride height and give greater clearance for sump, gearbox etc. then when replacing the front king pins etc...put the SSL RS Front Suspension kit on and that allows you to raise the front end by about 1'', plus it give you a more compliant front end compared to the standard setup.

Jaques ... his caravan tow-car the modern BRG and the flatrad racer the traditional BRG ... lovely pair of cars!

I do love the look of the flatrads ... Morgan should have kept it as an option! šŸ™‚

The Midsummer grille did give a little nod I thought, to the Flatrad design...if you half close one eye

Might be a minority opinion, but when it comes the Midsummer's styling I prefer to close both eyes!! šŸ˜†
