I am looking to upgrade the factory sound system as fitted to my 2020 Plus Four. The overall sound quality is rather muffled and lacking in bass, further the sound balance is poor with more audible volume from the rear than the front which is not adjustable via a fader.
My initial thoughts are to retain the existing amplifier and upgrade the speakers utilising the existing apertures for ease of installation, and perhaps add a compact subwoofer - the flat "underseat" style - which is unlikely to fit under the Plus Four seat given the very shallow clearance, but may fit behind the passenger seat or on the rear bulkhead.
The factory have informed me that the front speakers are 4 inch diameter, but were not able to advise the rear speaker size? Assuming the fronts are 4 inch, I'm thinking of fitting FOCAL ES100KE which is a 4 inch woofer, crossover and separate tweeter - which will fit on the surface of the leather dash top. I have this focal set up in my Defender, and it is outstanding. As for the rears, I think these are larger? Does anyone know? And can anyone else share their experiences of upgrading the audio in a Plus Four?

I have to say though as a manual car 3rd gear and sports mode delivers a nice tune
