I am looking to upgrade the factory sound system as fitted to my 2020 Plus Four. The overall sound quality is rather muffled and lacking in bass, further the sound balance is poor with more audible volume from the rear than the front which is not adjustable via a fader. My initial thoughts are to retain the existing amplifier and upgrade the speakers utilising the existing apertures for ease of installation, and perhaps add a compact subwoofer - the flat "underseat" style - which is unlikely to fit under the Plus Four seat given the very shallow clearance, but may fit behind the passenger seat or on the rear bulkhead. The factory have informed me that the front speakers are 4 inch diameter, but were not able to advise the rear speaker size? Assuming the fronts are 4 inch, I'm thinking of fitting FOCAL ES100KE which is a 4 inch woofer, crossover and separate tweeter - which will fit on the surface of the leather dash top. I have this focal set up in my Defender, and it is outstanding. As for the rears, I think these are larger? Does anyone know? And can anyone else share their experiences of upgrading the audio in a Plus Four?

I fitted a second hand system to my 22 car. The speakers are the same size for me anyway. See https://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/814172/1THere is a thread also about upgrading the splitting with a better amp. See top twenty tweaks in this forum

As the supplied sound system was totally inadequate and there was no way of getting sound from the front speakers due to a lack of fader, I fitted a radio to my 2021 car with the radio output going to the amplifier instead of the musicstream system. this meant that i could use the fader in the radio to balance the 4 speakers and the panasonic radio is controlled by my iphone by bluetooth thus meaning I can get all the music on my phone through the radio as well. I mounted the short chassis radio in the upright panel behind the drivers seat and the arial on the rear deck beside the spare wheel - Transformed the car!!
Cheers!

I have to say though as a manual car 3rd gear and sports mode delivers a nice tune

Essato comado d6 amp. audio frog gs speakers. 1inch in the pillars by the door hinges. 2.5" in doors. 6" in rear panel + slim sub in rear panel. rear panel is now an acoustic board. use existing Kenwood wiring. a pig to set the equaliser up via pc. sounds great stationary but I loose loads of bass when on the move. fitted by skipton car audio. (I believe revolutions Scotland have sent a few cars there too.)
