Hi I have an 1800cc Black Top Zetec engine I thank its based in the Ford Focus Can any please give me an idea when the fuel pump earth would or is likely to be, The pump sender is working confirming the amount of fuel in the tank but again the pump its self does not work but connect an auxiliary power to the pump and the pump runs.

Any advise would be most apprecated.

Try replacing fuel pump relay as suggested and always carry one as a spare. British made Durite is the go to brand.

I use Bosh ones with a diode. I’ve chucked an image in the Morgan Photo Gallery.

Worth buying them in bulk as it’s annoying to have to wait and get one/some when you need them.

They also change part numbers from time to time as the design improves.
