The real driving trip starts today, we’ll leave Geneva and head to Andermatt. Annecy was a highlight, what a pretty place, Mont Blanc is incredible, the cable car brings you from Chamonix to within what looks like a stones throw of the summit ( it really isn’t though!😁) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/06/01/IMG_6465.jpeg) This is at 4800 metres ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/06/01/IMG_6391.jpeg) We swam in the lake at Annecy both days we were there, an amazing experience.

I take back what I said, there are interesting cars here. like most adorable things, sunshine brings them out😁 ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/06/01/IMG_6486.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/06/01/IMG_6477.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/06/01/IMG_6443.jpeg) This old Gwagen is almost exactly like the one we had in the 90’s long before they were considered cool.

Belated update, left the car in Geneva with a bonnet full of stinky clothes and back to work, what an experience that has been. A fairly intense amount of driving to link up all the best passes and include Maranello. The factory was amazing, over 5k employees, they have their own alloy foundry for engine and electric motor parts, there’s a brand new on site factory for the electric car but we didn’t see even one complete car, they looked after us very well but unfortunately, no pictures allowed. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/tM41FnrM/IMG-6832.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/N6c8DFTb/IMG-6854.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/PG0pBCWp/IMG-6870.jpg) The police stopped me at the Lichtenstein border, since we love Alfas I took a pick of their car while they decided if I should be locked up😁 ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/gZF78fvC/IMG-6894.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/4nc2vYYQ/IMG-7029.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/tPkKzLQs/IMG-7056.jpg) Back in Andermatt just before we returned back over the Furkapass, on the last leg. It was wet the first time, drifting on the corners was great fun, this time it was hot and dry, probably the only time I’ll ever get to fully use all the 880 hp, incredible fun and an unexpected bonus, I used electric only on the way down, the fuel lasted far further than you’d think. At the petrol stops I’d need about £50 the v12’s needed £150.

I've said it before but the next best thing to a road trip is a vicarious road trip via shared photos!
Appreciate you taking the time to post them - looks amazing. I remember Geneva being the same, almost no 'fun cars' to peruse and then when the sun comes out, far more interesting vehicles emerge!
Wishing you both a great holiday and I'll look forward to the next update whilst I'm eldesko.

the design disaster surrounding the new electric Ferrari It's a conspiracy by the petrol heads: "Let's design an EV so pig-ugly that nobody will buy it, then we can claim that people only want ICE so we can carry on building them" "Yeah, and let's make it a 5-seat SUV so people can say that we have no business building them anyway!"

There are four to and fro’ boat taxi routes on lake Geneva, all free. This one goes by the Lido, there’s a surprising amount of swimming and sunbathing in and around the city. Went to the lido this morning, another amazing experience and a wash at the same time! ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/06/01/IMG_6610.jpeg)
