More Suspension Pics

Again, for all the suspension nuts smile

1) Back axle of a 4/4 Sport in production, note the lowering blocks between the spring an axle and Sachs dampers

2) Back axle of a new 3.7 Roadster in production, note the Koni dampers (non adjustable) and anti tramp bars fitted

3) Front axle of a 4/4 Sport in production, top view showing Sachs dampers, aeroquip brake hoses, new adjustable camber plates

4) Front axle of a 4/4 Sport in production, as above but front view

5) Current front king pin sub assembly showing bronze bushes and a clear view of new adjustable camber plates.

Note: the camber plates are only placed here temporarily before transfer to the build shop, they are actually shown on the wrong end of the king pin sub assembly.

What a great piece of video, love to see an equivalent of the front suspension working!

Surprised just how much movement takes place, my choice would be two anti-tramp bars, no question.

Axel. What camera are you using? The sound quality seems particularly good.

Hi Peter,
I used a GoPro Hero 2 with waterproof backdoor, which is small and robust enough for this shooting.

Many thanks for producing and sharing this excellent video Quicksand. A truly eye-opening presentation of the violent dynamics routinely occurring under one's backside during our Morgan romps. Folks generally don't have a clue as to the amounts of energy being restrained/contained by the car's suspension components. Kudos++++
