Re: Stranded on the M25 in my 2006 roadster
The reason for the M25 breakdown is now very clear. Water in the actual pump connector. The attached photos show the culprit. So the current dilemma is ---yes we have a Ford replacement fuel pump BUT not the connector unless I want to buy the complete loom  ----any ideas apart from ebay. The garage say that if I can get the actual connector they can rewire it.

Try the Autoe electrical suppliers:
e.g. Vehicle Wiring Products (VWP); Auto Electrical Supplies (AES) etc.
They must be available if Morgan have used them...

AES would get my vote. Any 6 pin connector should work (with suitable capacity).....

I would be tempted to re-wire it with soldered brass bullet connectors which should be a bit more resilient to water failure.

Try the local breakers yard will be loads of fords in there ,cut off the connector you need and splice it in should will cost nothing.

Yes the breakers route was suggested already by a very kind chap on ebay who also made the alarming comment that it was not a very clever failing for wiring attached to a petrol tank!!!

Nip into W H Smiths and pick up a Ford mag loads of places to contact. + they come in handy in the future.
