I reckon that could make over £200, and I doubt he has realised what he's selling.  I agree with you for the price can be even more; however I do not share your opinion on the fact that he does not know what it's worth ...

Actually, the auction price is held by a one-off (blue) 75 Years of Morgan badge, which was a few hundred pounds MORE expensive...

in actual fact there is nothing wrong with this badge, it was indeed correct for its time. Somehow there was an issue when a new die was used and we, the MSCC of which I was Hon.Sec. at the time,received a batch of these, having outstanding orders we used them but reverted to the original design for the next badge, making these a collectors item.
A similar thing happened to my own Peking to Paris badges which I had made to promote my entry in the 1982 run, which, sadly failed to take place. A few were made with the colours on the French flag reversed, these too became a collectors item.
As to the colours on badges these did tend to vary a little, thinking of that the other day when comparing my 4/4 club badges, the one purchased when joining in 1965 a slightly different shade of blue to the final run before the Club changed to the MSCC.

Welcome from South Wales. Chas, you are reason i have been a member of MSCC for many years.It was a hill climb at PENRICE on Gower where you saw my wife and i and our Morgan in the carpark and you press ganged us into joining. That was back in the seventies. Hope you are well, and thanks for many good times we have had in the club.

Great to hear from you, glad you are still interested in Morgans, they are addictive aren't they? Trust you are well, pacemaker keeping me going these days.
Remember Penrice well, those were the days,had a good tussle, my 4/4 vs the +4 Super Sports, also parking on some straw bales.
Sadly, just looking at a line up of Morgan drivers following the awards, sad because I was looking out photos of Mike Hall who has just passed away.
Another added to the list of absentees depicted, Ruth Atkinson and Bill Holt also gone. Makes me feel old!
Sadly not got a Morgan these days, ran them from '65 to '93, but playing with a '72 Spitfire, still when ERNIE comes up i shall get a Morgan once more.
