A wet, wet day so no open top Mogging!

We drove up to Williams in the rain and returned through a monsoon.

Some photos of the transfer from Aldermog to Tarka this lunchtime.

Tarka? I thought she was to be George. No, I was out voted and thanks to a tongue in cheek suggestion from Adrian Tarka she is. Tarka? Yes, she is "'Otter" (Hotter) than Aldermog and the colour is perfect.

When the weather is better some more photos with the hood down and inside the very full engine bay.

Great car Peter, caught me with the "Tarka" bit, I thought George was very regal and went with the colour. Not sure if I am convinced about the louvres on the wing instaed of the bonnet, guess it would grow on you. I know louvres are a very personal thing drive

I was very much in favour of George, but swmbo and No 1 Daughter both disagreed....

As to the wing louvres I agree, they are a bit odd. But unlike on a Range Rover they are functional, on the RHS they are the air intake to the air filter and on both sides they help keep the area near the cats cool. Unlike the other Trads the front wings are lined, so at least no stone dings!

Thanks to everyone for your kind and positive comments!

The colour, as others have said it isn't something I'd have picked but it works, especially under bright light when it has a depth of colour and a sparkle that the photos don't show.

The car looks like a trad, but not exactly as we know it! It is slightly longer than the Trads at 4.15m vs 4.01m and wider, 1.8m vs 1.72m and has 19" wheels with very low, 35, profile tyres.

Talking of wheel and tyre size, it has narrower front tyres than rear, something I feel the other Morgans should have.

Congratulations Peter.

I remember when you first mooted the idea to me and I'm glad you went this route. It is a very nice example and I'm sure you'll have many adventures in your new Morgan.

Roger, the seats are NOT comming out!! Ever!! redcard

Yes, a few subtle changes, but the thing is so close to perfection I don't have many ideas.... idea

The only two I've got planned are a pair of auxillary lights on the front, Supersport style and a covered trinket box to sit between the seats at the back of the cockpit.

That really is it! happy3
