First pic is at Wiscombe last year for those that do not know the car.

the next 3 are after me removing the dash and re-positioning the heater/vent controls for know.

Need to tidy up some wires and cover the heater controls with some black core.

NeilM is ordering some polycarbonate for the glass replacement, this will be tricky as have to heat bend the side windows. Thinking of removing the petrol tank and putting a small race one in the rear boot to save more weight. Also going to investigate the bumpers under the plastic cover, could be worth honeycomb drilling or removing if we feel brave enough to loose them altogether. I am going to hunt for some front GPS wings as well.

Herding Meerkats comes to mind, they're there somewhere, underground, pop up and then pop down, some keep above for longer than others, until it gets too dangerous. But all stick together in the end, even though they have differences.

I didn't realise that the MR2 had a cat, or am I missing the point of this thread.

Picking up 4 new Yokohama Advan A048 soft compound on Thursday, for dry runs. We thought about Avon A15's but double the price and we would have had to buy a set of 15" wheels, as our dry set are on 14" wheels, also the Avons were double the cost. Others hill climb on the Yoko's so should be quite good. We will see.

So we have the Yoko's. I jacked up the rear end today and put on blocks and then crawled under removed the 3 brass nuts holding the exhaust to the bottom manifold brake removed the 2 circular gaskets, one was knackered and blowing, popped in the 2 new ones after cleaning up and putting in a bit of sealant. Then fitted the wheels with Yoko's on and then marked them up with tippex, RR, RL, FR and FL and marked direction arrows so it is easy to see when changing over wheels. Then jumped in the car and took for a spin to bed the tyres in a bit and remove the silicone release agent from them and see how they grip. Well after a few miles they started to grip and once warm I could head round corners at an impressive turn of speed. So now its just glass out and polycarbonate in.

When's the next hill climb? Looking forward to hearing how you both get on!

I am getting worried, I might have to try and drive fast to beat Adrian. With all these changes, I will need a G suit to get round the corners.

As you're both using the same car it will come down to which driver weighs the least!

We do drive the same car and unfortunately you have disclosed my secret weapon.

And a smooth driving style always helps, particularly on the slippery bits that Wiscombe seems to develop throughout much of the year!
