TOTH 15 - On the Road
I'm on my way south. New sat-nav took me by way of Ettrick then over the Kirkstone and Hardknott passes. Didn't know that Carlsberg made sat-navs.

Love pictures, especially photo 3. It's not Hardknott Pass though. Maybe not, but it was taken about 300m east of the pass! No rain in the Lake District so maybe it's being able to see the backdrop that causes confusion. I stand corrected. Well I actually sit corrected in the sunshine with a coffee and an ice cream. Pics 1 & 4 are on the Struggle looking back up towards the Kirkstone Inn. 2 & 3 are on the Wrynose Pass while heading up towards the Hardknott Pass. In mitigation given my abilities both to not know where I am and to not worry about it, I reckon I was pretty close! I'll take your word for it, although I'm still not convinced you're right. If you were on Wrynose the tarn would be Little Langdale Tarn, which I don't recall as having trees nearby. I'll take a look tomorrow

You got lost on the way down? Lost me? Never. And so long as the rush hour traffic isn't too bad on the Peripherique I'll be at Shelsley Walsh in plenty of time.  That will be the Manchester Peripherique I guess?

Does it really matter which pass it may or may not be? The important thing is that he has driven through Gods Country!
