The flying wings

Last Saturday ... Lake "Bodensee" .... over 50 fans around the Aeromax ... opened the wings with remote control ... two wings opened ... and end up on the ground ... 50 fans looked astonished to me ... some interesting comments ... pantsdown

Let me sing:

I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

... I forgot to say : The Aeromax is my fovorite car !

The issue seems to stem from the fact that while the current glue has a very high heat tolerance (200c+), when the metal and glass heat up, they can exceed the temperature (in that isolated area) and cause the glue between them to soften. IIRC the glue was supplied by Bostick and they have now supplied one with a much higher heat rating.

When my car was serviced, they upgraded the glue, so any concerns should be a thing of the past.

I lost both glasses over a three day period during my vacations in Italy.

And of course, it damaged the body.....

Really annoying I must say

The glasses also open under heavy rain which is another issue....

Sorry to hear about the damage to your car, I hope it was not too serious?

I have not had the glasses open under heavy rain, nor heard of this additional fault. What exactly happens Aeromax?

In speaking with the factory today, they have confirmed there is a resolution to cars effected by this problem.

The factory has issued a Dealer Notice and therefore any Aeromax, that requires this amendment, will be addressed as and when it goes in for servicing to a dealer. At this time, the notice asks them to remove the rear windows (there are 8 bolts). They are then sent to Morgan, who will re bond the brackets using the uprated glue, fit security film for added protection and then send the windows back to the dealer to be refitted. Turn around time from the factory is set at approximately 72-hours.

I hope this answers any questions.
