new air Intake for my +8
The original Air Intake is using odd filter ( same diameter as the box , so , no clearence for air ) . And air is taken in the bonnet , so , hot . I add DMC air intake with a hoose linked out of engine ( just behind the right wheel ). Far better.

I fabricated a similar set up for my +8 using the existing trumpet. Remove the trumpet and filter holder inside the canister, fit a K&N conical filter which allows air flow around the side and through the front of the filter. Fixed a 3 inch air hose to the other end of the canister which goes down and faces forward behind the right front wheel. Works great and just the cost of the filter.
