Here are some detail photos of the Morgan Plus 4 SS details and the optional Race Pack. I chose not to have the Corbeau race seat fitted (I wanted a more vintage look), although I may amend this once I've tried the car on track if I feel I need more grip from the seat.

At the moment, I have removed the head rests on the drivers seat to allow it to slide back on the runners as far as possible. This means I can now fit in the car comfortably but it does (even with the headrest in place) mean my head is a little too close to the roll bar for comfort. In intend to fit some FIA padding to the bar because while my head isn't in contact with the bar whilst driving, I wouldn't like to come into contact with it should I have a shunt.

Some other points to note are that MMC built a cage for my fire extinguisher. Normally it is bolted to the floor, near the cross member but I asked if they could build a cage for it, so that the passengers feet don't come into contact with it. This does reduce the length of the passenger footwell but I rather like the look of it and it certainly makes for a clean job.

The plumbed in extinguisher is very tidy and, when armed, there are activation points both inside and outside the car.

I took a few photos of the roll bar as someone was asking about how they were mounted - I hope my photos help.

Lastly, belts! I asked for my car to come fitted with both the 4-point harnesses and road belts. I am already glad I've gone this route - it makes short journeys a pleasure, not having to go through the 'pilot' routine of belting up the harnesses (and when not in use they store behind the seats and are non invasive).

Jay, they were standard on the car (I assume they are part of the Race Pack but as I haven't seen another customers car, I may be incorrect )

Both the screens are boxed and I cannot see a suppliers name on either; however, I can take a better look if you'd like?

Sorry Frank, I missed that question the first time.

The Plus 4 SS comes with a AUX-in audio unit. It means you have no headunit, just a simple AUX input for either an iPoD or similar device. It amplifies the sound but you control the music via the input device. Simple, effective and light!

However, that said, given the exhaust note, I'm not sure I'll want to listen to anything else.

You have a very very nice car. The colour reminds me of another 4 but with white wings! I’m not up to date what engine and output is it? I remember you saying 300bhp with 2l 4 cyl but that was after a few and can't be right? There's also the intake on the side? Also when we talk details - I'm guesing Aero racing ones come with the SS?

Thanks Simon...they look similar to the feet fitted by Steve Simmonds on a german 4/4 Sport he was working on earlier this year from the factory. The actual screens could be Brooklands.....those were fitted to one of the SS cars I saw at the factory.

Hopefully there will be one around at the factory on Saturday so I can have a closer look!

Jay, I checked them for you and you're correct, they are Brooklands aero screens.

The engine is the 2.0 out of the Mazda MX-5 and is tuned to over 200bhp; the 300 was probably when we had imbibed one too many glasses of the local grape and were discussing what many feel you can get from a highly tuned 2.0 4-cylinder. Aero Racing have gone for a more useable state of tune and thus far, I've no complaints.

The bonnet scoop is a reference to the Lawrence Plus 4SS of the 60's and is unique to the run of 60 cars. The full spec can be found on TM and they can be ordered in standard spec or with the edition of the Race Pack.
