Another experiment in photo posting, this photo was taken yesterday, if this works I will add earlier pictures of the build and bore you all.

Fantastic, it worked, now I can add earlier pictures if there's any appetite for them out in TM land. I might even do it there's not.😂

I’d like to see photos taken by someone else at that point, I reckon Gordon’s smile would be as wide as the canal. And rightly so

I'm not into boats but I really appreciate the level of skill and craftsmanship that have gone into the build. Keep the pics a coming.

Thank you so much for sharing your building journey you should be so proud of your work, it is fantastic in every detail and at a level that far escapes us mere handyman/modifying mortals.

My only experience of boat building was back in the early 1960's when a friend and I built a Mirror between us and the only thing it has in common with your craft is that it floats with all it's twisted copper wire and fibreglass tape and resin.

A bit like comparing a Caterham to a Rolls Royce.

I can't wait for the next installment and good luck with the back.

All I can say is that restoring a morgan seems pretty trivial compared to anyone building/rebuilding a wooden boat.

I'm a massive fan of Leo and his rebuild of Tally Ho. Hs amazing skill and knowledge of old boatbuilding techniques is matched by his ability as a broadcaster. Some of the best content on Youtube as far as I'm concerned.

We don't yet know if it floats...

I would quite happily wager you a grand on it if you are doubtful

Thanks again for your comments. Graham, fingers crossed it'll be spring/summer 2022, that's if a berth becomes available around then and I don't let yet another target date slip by. I have also applied at a marina nearer home as an alternative if there's nothing available on the canal. You'd be more than welcome to come along and take some pictures.

M3W55, you make a good point, I must admit to thinking more than once during the build "what if it doesn't stay afloat" so if that's the case it'll site it on the front lawn and rent it out as alternative holiday accommodation, a bit like the guy who converted the helicopter.
Actually, in a funny way, part of me doesn't want to see it go, I get emotionally attached to larger projects and don't like letting things out of the workshop. I guess I'll just have to look for something else to build. Noooo, I MUST spend more time driving my Morgan and staying on my boat.

Dave, I've watched some of these videos today. They are really good, it makes me feel glad I opted for a new build though, although I love the idea of saving a beautiful old boat like that. It also shows me why my back is knackered.
