And for my next trick...

I am feeling mildly intimidated by this but I expect I shall get through it somehow.

I was reading through the instructions and was feeling up to it until this:

"Undo the centre track rod ends from the drop bracket on the steering rack and swing the track rods aside."

This makes me feel that I might exceed my very modest competence and that I should seek a proper mechanic.

I removed the box at the bottom of the cowl, so I didn't need to do that. Although I took them off to fit my Roadster with a steering damper, and it's easy enough.

That is interesting. Happily the allegedly crap OE plastic rad of my 2015 4/4 has not yet (touch ash) sprung a leak, so I have time to think about this. And I have a couple of local friends with more skill than wot I have whom I shall consult before taking the next step.

The SIFAB kit looks very nicely engineered and is astonishingly light. Alas, the reasonable price had 140€ in tax added to it on the way to France, thanks to Brexit.

It's much easier to undo the centre track rod ends, and it gives you space where you need it. I might have done quite a few radiator swaps.... thumbs

I managed to change my Roadster radiator for a new Sifab one just by jacking the front end up and no need undo the track rod ends. Old one needed a little jiggling to get out but not a difficult job at all

Thnaks for that. Perhaps the 4/4 is not as easy...
