Day one of our Italian road trip, this time the car goes by truck to Geneva, we’ve kicked it off with a trip to Gullane and North Berwick in a testarossa, then an Italian meal at Scarpetta in Edinburgh, highly recommended.

Here’s my car ready to be shipped, I’ll see it again in Geneva on Sunday.

And a few other interesting cars today in Edinburgh, we’ve had a great day, what a start to a holiday and what a beautiful city on a sunny day.

A Stage 1 by the looks of it. Don't see many of those nowadays :-)

Graham .... yep, bit of a mixture ... V8, full-time 4x4 but still leaf-sprung.

Edinburgh is ineed a beautiful place ... still one of my favoutlrite cities..

Brilliant stuff, the same for the return journey or driving back ?

When I saw the thread title, I initially thought it was also about the design disaster surrounding the new electric Ferrari, which is following in Jaguar’s footsteps.

It's a conspiracy by the petrol heads: "Let's design an EV so pig-ugly that nobody will buy it, then we can claim that people only want ICE so we can carry on building them"

"Yeah, and let's make it a 5-seat SUV so people can say that we have no business building them anyway!"

It’ll probably look better in the metal, they will sell them easily enough, they’ll make you buy one to be able to order the real one you actually want, especially the specials. Those limited specials make crazy money after a while, no different from collectors whisky or fine art, free of capital gains too. Add to that electric rubbish is tax deductible, the more it costs the more you save in a topsy turvy man brain!
I’m going to the factory next week, that’s not what I want to see though!😂

Geneva is roasting, thankfully there’s a cool breeze near the Lake. Surprised to learn all public transport is free for visitors in the city, didn’t use it but it all looks clean and tidy. The whole city centre is clean, certainly seems a happy place, lots of commerce and business going on, lots of romantic couples, young and old, lots of after work socialising outside.
