Day one of our Italian road trip, this time the car goes by truck to Geneva, we’ve kicked it off with a trip to Gullane and North Berwick in a testarossa, then an Italian meal at Scarpetta in Edinburgh, highly recommended.

Well the pacifists got that one right .

Not that many interesting cars in Geneva but any that are look really good here.

I take back what I said, there are interesting cars here.

This old Gwagen is almost exactly like the one we had in the 90’s long before they were considered cool.

The real driving trip starts today, we’ll leave Geneva and head to Andermatt.

Annecy was a highlight, what a pretty place, Mont Blanc is incredible, the cable car brings you from Chamonix to within what looks like a stones throw of the summit ( it really isn’t though!😁)

We swam in the lake at Annecy both days we were there, an amazing experience.

Looking like a cracking trip already ... and you're only just off the starting blocks ... keep the pics coming when you have a moment Ewan. 👍

I've said it before but the next best thing to a road trip is a vicarious road trip via shared photos!

Appreciate you taking the time to post them - looks amazing. I remember Geneva being the same, almost no 'fun cars' to peruse and then when the sun comes out, far more interesting vehicles emerge!

There are four to and fro’ boat taxi routes on lake Geneva, all free. This one goes by the Lido, there’s a surprising amount of swimming and sunbathing in and around the city.
Went to the lido this morning, another amazing experience and a wash at the same time!

Well that was some day, Furka Pass to Andermatt, lovely drive and very nice hotel.

The iconic shot of the iconic hotel ... I believe it's closed now? ... how, in an age of ticking off 'sights', can that place not make a living? ... any 16 year old influencer could make having coffee and cake there a 'must do' within a week!
