You should always remember there are some things that have a mileage interval (oil and filter change, time may also come in to this if the car's not doing enough miles) and some that have a time interval (cooling water/brake fluid change) if you carry out this work fine, if not it's best to take the car to a good garage/dealer and they should do what's required but they'll always err on the safe side so some stuff will get done more often than may strictly speaking be required.
