How's the running in Ian? I suspect, like me, you have some mechanical sympathy and are running in with a degree of caution.
My mind says....
1st 500 miles, no more than 2,800 rpm. Frequently varied throttle.
500-2,000 miles 3,500 rpm odd blip to 4,000 rpm at over 1,000 miles.
2,000 miles to 5,000 miles 4,000 rpm
5,000 miles, pretty much run in....
Or am I being too cautious?!
You are being too cautious. With a modern engine after the first oil change drive it like you stole it!
