In my small 'Commune' regardless of politics or nationality, we are united in honouring the sacrifice of those who died doing their duty. Whether you agree with the politics at the time you are asked to serve your country or not. My family has fought for both Germany in WW1 and Britain in WW11 - My Grandfather had no choice in WW1, but was at the Head of the Line in WW11, BECAUSE he believed it to be a Just Cause. My fathers 'Medaille de la France Liberee' is above me as I write this.
