Perhaps the time has come for MMC to consider the use of alternatives. There are not many timbers available with the characteristics of Ash to give the strength and flexibility required for a traditional Morgan body shell. Personally I'd be looking at replacing the ash frame on the Aero range with something like carbon fibre and preserve what stocks of Ash there might be to be used exclusively on the Trads.
If the worst happens and thanks to Government inabilities AND the tree industries lack of concern....lets face it, the fungal die back on the continent has been known for quite some time and yet ash saplings have continued to be imported.....and Ash is wiped out, perhaps Morgan will move to a common bonded alloy chassis
