I saw the brand new demonstrator at BHM on Friday. My car (no. 350 delivered 10th October) was having the new stronger lower front wishbones fitted so I had time to do a comparison. The BHM car was no. 460 (ish).

BHM's old demonstrator also turned up while I was there so I could so some good A-B-C comparisons.

The new demonstrator has a different pedal box. It now has an angled throttle pedal and the pedal box is narrower as a result. It has lost the M3W drillings and has circular holes instead. I think this car now has 4 positions for the pedals so there is a bit more potential legroom. Sorry - no pics!

My car (350) does seem to have the later chassis - ie. the same as the latest BHM car, but has the original pedal box with only 3 positions. However, it looks like I could switch pedal boxes relatively easily to gain extra legroom (although I'm ok with what I've got - just). The older chassis design has a kink on the inside immediately behind the pedal box and neither the old nor new pedal boxes could be moved back beyond the third position. Visually though there is no difference visible easily from the outside at all.

Oddly enough, I have the latest steering rack (with a hole in the centre top of the rack) while the later BHM car has the original rack. I am told the later rack gives a better lock and calms down the steering kickback, so strange that the later car still has the older rack.

Boot-lid fit seems slightly better than on some earlier cars.

Rear wheel still slightly offset to nearside of car. Couldn't find any other differences...

Obviously pleased that I've got the latest chassis. But are there other changes in the pipeline? Anyone know?

My car is going very well now - all the funny noises have gone (apart from occasional clonk as nearside steering arm hits exhaust on big bumps), the bevel box is much quieter and very acceptable now. Car generally feels fantastic and is giving huge fun.
