Long-handled wheel nut spanners – true, I don’t have spinners, but I bought this recently for the hex nut . So far only managed to loosen one of the four. It’s not nose-bleeds that worry me, but my back. However, I won’t be beaten and I feel that with this implement or a 2lb Thor dead-blow hammer + supplied small wheel nut spanner I can make a road-side wheel change fairly pdq.
Electric jack – no good; as Gambalunga pointed out, this won’t go under a car with deflated tyre.
Manual jack – now, after hours of practice with the silly little supplied jack handle, I can raise the car at either end enough to get an inflated wheel on.
Tyre sealant – a number of contradictory views here but, on balance, I don’t think I’ll use it. The clincher was that my local Morgan dealer said they wouldn’t recommend it at speeds around the legal limit.
