Not a paperweight, and maybe in 20 years time it will be worth more than 70% if a good one. Maybe not.
Perhaps half of all 250GTO's have a very chequered history but values are not affected.
The Aeromax today is condition important. When half of these Aeromax's are multi owner, big miles, lots of paint etc then the car mentioned here will not seem such an epic lemon...

These cars appear to deteriorate very quickly if used regularly. They corrode hideously for a modern machine.
There will be a few condition B's out there to restore as well as uber low mile minters...
