Dave I love horses , used to be a stallion in the field round the corner when I took my dog for a walk . I would put carrots and an apple in my pocket get the odd stare from women . Give Max a whistle and the bu**er would just walk from the other side of the field never trot give me a nudge with his head and try to pick my pockets . My earliest memory in my life is going as a 3 year old to find my dad , I knew his garage near a stable and he was always their so I had sneaked out to find him 3 year old and off through the village I can remember a dark place with strong smell and everything looking huge . My uncle was a farrier .
I met my wife in a coaching inn , they only had two tiny one at a time toilets ( one for each sex ) we had to line up in the passage and we started chatting , me and my big gob comming up to 30 year in August crazy3

On the matter of horses, when I was aged in single numbers I was occasionally taken to the local farm. My mother knew the family and I could spend an hour or so playing in the yard. Occasionally the blacksmith would be there and I would watch him shoeing the horses. Many years later I found out that MrsW had also visited the same farm because her mother knew the family and would spend an hour or so playing in the yard.
As far as we know, we never met............
