Cars and bikes did not have to be registered until 1924 when the Road Traffic Act became law - hence the anomalies.

The car is 1912 - verified by the MTWC

Some of the electrics ie HT leads have been replaced as the originals perished - and a fuse box added (I think?)

But if you look at the car overall - its an amazing example of an unrestored car - fettled a little yes - but not restored.

I agree about paint/chrome on restorations - I had a job to persuade my plater to only plate dull nickle on parts for my 1920
Triumph - which is the correct finish! Definitely not chrome!! innocent
