Ale, the Aero and traditional models have a very different door and window design. I'm not sure you can drill drain holes on an Aero.

On my Aero, significant wind noise from the drivers door was a clue that the window wasn't sealing properly at the top. This is where some water was coming in. The answer is to use the (BMW) window re-set procedure, but this takes a few tries to get it right. Dean on this forum is the expert... There is another post where he summarises the process
