We did about 3,000 taking the long way round to bring our Plus 4 home last year. Plan on doing it in easy stages, see some of the sights on the way, and you will be fine. The Mog is actually more comfortable on a long trip than our Alfa. Luggage space is the only problem but at least, being summer (if it ever arrives)you won't have to pack too much in the way of heavy clothes.

I suggest you have a look at some of Dave' suggestions about keeping water out. If you have the model with the ECU box on top of the passengers feet (under the bonnet) you need to do something to keep the water out or it drips through the grommet onto the passenger's legs. I will post photo later.
